Frequently Asked Questions
The GreenIce Cure System™ is a two-part process that requires both, IceStart™ and IceStop™ to be used together. IceCap™ is an optional product that can be used to add a higher gloss to the finish. The default gloss reading averages in the 40’s after IceStop™ is applied. Gloss readings between 60-80 are achievable with the addition of IceCap™.
IceStart™
IceStart™ is applied at the time of pour. It can be applied through the sprayer of a power trowel or sprayed from a high-volume, low-pressure sprayer at a rate of 1,200 sq. ft. per gallon. IceStart™ MUST be used in conjunction with either walk-behind or ride-on trowels. IceStart™ gets applied during each subsequent panning cycle, for a total of three applications.
IceStop™
After using IceStart™, apply IceStop™ as soon as the trowels are finished. IceStop™ is applied using garden sprayers or high-volume, low-pressure sprayers at a rate of 400 sq. ft. per gallon. After IceStop™ has completely dried, gently scrub surface and use minimal water rinse and and wet vacuum floor if necessary.
IceCap™
After IceStop™ has been applied and the surface has been cleaned, simply spray IceCap™ and disperse with a T-bar. Burnish with a Green Umbrella-recommended high-speed burnisher to produce gloss readings unreachable by other processes.
